TeensyLights16
A computer-controlled, dimmable 16 channel controller, utilizing a Teensy (Arduino-fied) microcontroller board.
Features
- Connects via USB or RS485
- 16 Independant Channels each capable of 2 amps or up to 4 amps with the addition
of heat sinks on the triacs
- Channels 1-8 and 9-16 have separate fused and supplied A/C connections
- Zero Crossing circuit derived from Channel 1-8 A/C power connection, for dimming
control
- Multiple boards can be connected by daisy-chaining the RS485 interface or by
using USB hubs or any combination, easily expands to 800+ channels
- Can be used with wireless USB extenders for a wireless connection
- Can run standalone sequences or can be controlled by computer running
Vixen Lights software running the Renard Protocol to choreograph lights to music
or by your own custom software
- Uses the Teensy 2.0 from PJRC using the Teensyduino Add-on
- Programmed with Adruino sketches, C or C++
- Kit is easy to assemble for anyone comfortable with through-hole soldering
Sensative components are all socketed.
